FISHING WITH GEOFF CAPES

At the Budgerigar Society club show 2007, we were fortunate enough to be the highest bidder for a days fishing with Geoff Capes, during the auction of promises.
Easter Sunday 2008, with thick snow on the ground, we set off for Geoff's, eagerly awaiting a great day ahead.

Not long after setting up the rods, we had our first run, and Liam was into his first ever pike!

Being a wimp! Liam would not pick up the pike for a photo so Geoff did the honours

Shortly after Liam's fish was returned back to the lake, the second rod screamed into action, this time Simon took the rod and brought in a pike of around 10lbs, which turned out to be the largest catch of the day.

Another small pike followed, which Liam still would not hold!
Wimp!

Unfortunatly, only three pike were landed and with the wind getting up we headed back to Geoff's to look at his birds.
Not only, has Geoff got a very useful stud of recessive pied's, we were also impressed with the quality of the normals within the stud.
A lovely meal was put on, by Geoff's wife, while we sat at the kitchen table talking budgies!
We would like to thank them both, for a truly unforgetable day
