OUR SET UP

Our main birdroom is a 10’ x 8’ timber shed that has been fully insulated using 30mm kingspan insulation boards then lined out with white faced ply, twelve traditional timber breeding cages were constructed with cage fronts and nest boxes purchased from Thomas Cages, on the opposite elevation there is a 3’ x 7’ inside flight and a small rearing flight with a double unit below, heating is provided via a 3’ electric panel heater that is set at 12 degrees and lighting is provided using a 8’ tube, The birds have access to a 10’ x 4’ outside flight with a paved floor for easy cleaning
On the opposite side of the garden we have a 8’ x 6’ shed containing four large stock cages that are used for rearing cages and sales cages etc, this shed is also used for storing all the equipment and seed etc
